The wild and often ignored cousin of the Caribbean’s more popular resorts, Dominica is home to rugged coastlines, crashing waterfalls, vibrant coral reefs, fascinating nature trails and a proud people.

Secret Bay is a cliff-top retreat quite unlike anything else found in the Caribbean. This all-villa property sits amidst lush rainforest, with its immersive design fusing contemporary styles with local craftsmanship. Access to the inviting waters is via a secret beach, giving the resort its name.

Treehouse-style villas sit on a clifftop with spectacular views out to the Caribbean Sea. Under the auspices of Relais & Chateaux, you can expect exceptional food and hospitality.

Facilities

With 26 villas across ten villa types, Secret Bay offers a level of exclusivity rarely found in beach properties. Villas are designed for relaxed indoor and outdoor living, with open-air architecture and a state-of-the-art kitchen at the heart of each stay.

The rest of Secret Bay’s facilities are scattered through the jungle, with arrivals centred on Mouben Welcome House. Options include the Bwa Mang Wellness Pavilion, the treehouse-style Gommier Spa overlooking Tibay Beach, the Zamman Watersports Hut and the cliff-edge Vetiver Sunset Deck. Dining is split between Bwa Denn and the open-air Zing Zing, with Botanica for a garden-to-fork experience by the Cario river.

Activities

With an in-house spa, wellness centre and watersports hut, there are plenty of options, ranging from leisurely to exhilarating, to choose from at Secret Bay. Kayaks, paddleboards and snorkel gear are available from the Zamman Watersports Hut, whilst other watersports can be booked by the staff on site, including beach pickups for water-based excursions.
