Conceived in the royal tradition of the palaces of Mewar, the resort oozes grandeur and majesty.

Echoing corridors, domes covered in gold leaf, hand-painted murals, pavilions, arches and fountains, all come together to recreate a bygone age of royal living.

Oberoi Udaivilas boasts space, somewhat a premium in Udaipur.

Facilities

Room choices vary, and the lake facing rooms have the views of Lake Pichola, some even have semi-private pools, accessed through steps from the room. Suites have private pools and a good choice for peace and privacy.

The spa pool ( adult only) setting is utterly delightful and is the place to head without children in tow. There is a child-friendly pool within the gardens. Dine at least one evening at the Chandni, an outdoor restaurant with views of the lake. There are a further two restaurants and a bar area.

Activities

Everything that Oberoi organises is delivered by a friendly face. They excel at private experiences. Do take a trip across Lake Pichola on the complimentary boat shuttle at night, beautiful. Returning for pre-dinner sundowners hosted by Oberoi.
