Nimmu House, the biggest house in the village, has 30 rooms including two Buddhist temples. Spread across three levels of 400 square metres each, the property includes a stable with yaks, cows and goats, and a 5,000 square metre orchard with hundreds of fruit trees.
There are five spacious tents which are scattered throughout the orchard. Partitioned into three parts, each tent has a room at the entrance, with large windows, ideal for relaxing or reading. This room can also serve as a small room for children. The second part consists of a spacious bedroom and an attached bathroom.
Breakfast and lunch is served on the outdoor terrace with views of the mountains to the south. Dinners are served in the old winter kitchen on the first floor which has been converted into a spacious traditional dining room. The menu is simple, with Ladakhi, Indian and French cuisines using fresh fruits and vegetables sourced locally.
Nimmu House is located in the village of Nimmo, at an altitude of 10,000 feet and accessed via a 45 minute drive from Leh.
