East Winds is a delightful, traditional and exclusive Caribbean hotel with just 30 rooms. There are 10 superior cottages, 16 deluxe cottages, three oceanfront rooms and one oceanfront suite.

There is also one deluxe two-bedroom Garden Cottage. All are situated amongst verdant gardens and fluttering hummingbirds. Each of the cottages has their own private patio or shaded terrace and stepping stone pathways that lead past the free-form swimming pool down to the beach at La Brelotte Bay.

Why we like Eastwinds

Although just mentioning the phrase ‘all-inclusive’ makes many run for the hills, it is the quality of the food here (four-course evening meals six nights a week) and the superb wine that draws us back to East Winds year after year. That, and the fact East Winds hotel is run by a charming team and while very private, we love how low-key and informal it is. Children aged eight upwards are welcome and the main water sports are included.

Activities

There are many onsite activities at East Winds, including yoga, pilates and spa treatments. Alternatively, take to the water and try the pedalos, kayaks, aqua-view boards, Hobie cats or snorkelling. If all that seems too much like hard work spa treatments at the pavilion are available or easier still – in your room. Off-site, horse riding, hiking, canopy adventures and visits to botanical gardens can be arranged. There is plenty of history and culture to discover including the Gros Inlet Street Party.
