Wildlife safaris are the main attraction to this region. Whether you travel by horse, canoe or 4×4, you will be able to explore the Llanos in-depth. The birdwatching is excellent too, with a wide range of aquatic birds as well as burrowing owls, the jabiru stork and the symbolic scarlet ibis.

In addition, guests at Corocora can join biologists to set up camera traps to capture the region’s more allusive feline population. Ocelots, pumas and jaguars roam this area and the Cunaguaro project contributes directly to the conservation of these cats. Tradition is also a large part of the Llanos culture. Spend a day with the llaneros and their horses. Have a go at lassoing and learn the calls to round up cattle, or try riding barefooted in true Llanero style.
