BUSH ROVER SUITES
Stay in a Bush Rover Suite, in a private campsite on the Mara River. These remarkable new tented suites are built onto a Land Rover body, which forms the bathroom below. Innovative and practical, they provide an elevated position from which to look out over the landscape – unlike more traditional mobile camps.
The campsite on the Mara River is found beside a crossing point for the migration, within sight of the tents. This means that that crossings can sometimes been seen from the tents themselves, simply by sitting on the balcony.
Furthermore, the area is beyond the larger crossing points, in a part of the Serengeti that is away from the crowds. This makes for a quieter, less disturbed experience, with the freedom to explore this magnificent landscape.
The Bush Rovers themselves act simply as a place to sleep and relax, with game drives done in a normal 4x4 vehicle, driven by an expert guide. Spend time in search of the wildlife that inhabits this kopje-dotted landscape, including lions, cheetahs, leopards and antelopes.
Why We Like It
The unique location of the Bush Rover camp and the elevated nature of the tents make this an experience to rival anything on offer in the Serengeti during migration season.
However, the flexible nature of the Bush Rover Suites (they can be assembled in three hours) is also an added bonus. Unlike with traditional seasonal camps, the Bush Rover Suites can move to a more suitable campsite, if the migration changes its schedule or route, which often happens.
