Kings Camp

Located at the edge of an acacia-dotted savannah plain, Kings Camp overlooks a waterhole that attracts both diurnal and nocturnal visitors. Found at the heart of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, which lies adjacent to the Kruger National Park, the camp is surrounded by an area rich in wildlife.

Among these animals, white lions are a particularly novelty - almost unique to the area.

Seven suites look out over the savannah landscape, with the dining room, bar, reception and boma set slightly further back. A thatched viewing deck faces the waterhole, whilst a beautifully landscaped swimming pool lies nearby. Each suite is decorated in an elegant, colonial style and features air conditioning. Private verandas provide outdoor spaces to observe nature, whilst the en-suite bathrooms incorporate indoor and outdoor double showers.

With access to 100 square kilometres of pristine bush, the game viewing at Kings Camp is phenomenal. Lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants are all commonly spotted, with thrilling close encounters possible from the camp's open-topped vehicles.

Well located, Kings Camp benefits from its proximity to the Kruger. With no fence in between the park and the reserve, the game is free to wander back and forth. This, combined with the reserve’s accessibility and reputation for more secluded game viewing, makes for a fantastic experience.

In addition to this, other activities abound in the surrounding area. Helicopter trips, excursions to a nearby cheetah breeding project and balloon rides can all be arranged from the camp.
