Tailor-Made Holiday

Short Break to Seville

A three night break to this magical city

4 days

from £700pp (excluding flights)

Explore the medieval lanes, Moorish palaces and romantic plazas of Seville over four days.

  • Spend half a day with a private guide to orientate yourself with the city
  • Explore the winding streets of the old Jewish quarter
  • Marvel at the intricate Moorish architecture amidst the gardens and palaces of Seville
  • Relax around the pool at the Hacienda de San Rafael
  • Soak up the city from the rooftop terrace of Corral del Rey

This magical city is just perfect for a romantic short break. A relatively compact city, Seville offers Moorish history and architecture in bucket loads and is known for the Spanish tradition of flamenco and its flamboyant Easter festivities. Hours can be lost wandering the cobbled streets of the old Jewish quarter, taking time to just sit and enjoy life passing you by from a hidden plaza filled with orange trees. Evenings can be spent sampling tapas, locally produced sherry and soaking up the atmosphere of this buzzing city.

Hacienda de San Rafael or Corral del Rey

This short break could work staying at either of these lovely hotels. For a true city break choose Corral del Rey and immerse yourself in the city, staying amidst the winding streets of the old quarter. Alternatively, stay just 30 minutes south of the city at the Hacienda de San Rafael, with easy access to all that Seville offers but with a tranquil haven to retreat to after a busy days sightseeing. Hacienda de San Rafael works especially well during the summer months when the heat of the city really is sizzling.

Costa de la Luz

Travel south of Seville to the Atlantic coastline of Costa de la Luz for long stretches of sandy beach, sparkling surf and pretty white villages.

Day 1

Fly London to Seville

The stylish and scorching city of Seville is the capital of Andalucia. Also known as 'The Frying Pan of Spain', it enjoys arguably the strongest cultural identity in the entire country. It is the artistic, historic and cultural capital of southern Spain, and is the closest you are likely to get to Andalucia in a nutshell.

Day 2

Sightseeing Tour of Seville
Half day guided tour.
Visit the iconic Plaza de España in Maria Luisa Park. Built as the central office for the Ibero-American Exposition, a world fair held in Seville in 1929, the Plaza España is a landmark example of the Renaissance Revival style in Spanish architecture. Continue to the Seville Cathedral, the third largest church in the world and the largest gothic cathedral. Completed in the early 16th Century, it is designated as an UNESCO World Heritage Site and also the burial site of Christopher Columbus. Thereafter, a short walk to the Royal Alcazar, the Royal Palace of Seville, a magnificent complex of patios and halls in different architectural styles, from Mudéjar to Gothic. The heart of the complex is the Palace of King Pedro I, who constructed his royal residence in 1364 at the site of a Moorish palace. Finally, navigate through the labyrinths of the old Jewish Santa Cruz quarter to admire the leafy patios of private mansions through their iron gates, with many old palaces, churches and hidden passageways.
