Sitting in a great location, with the thick forest on one side and expansive views across the vibrant green tea plantations on the other, this lodge is blessed with setting, service and style.
Inside, the contemporary slate and metal fittings are softened by wicker chairs, rugs and walls adorned with the famous Rwandese Imigongo geometric paintings, giving the lodge a surprisingly modern look, whilst maintaining a strong local flavour. All of the rooms are light and open, with bamboo flooring, bright cushions and a lovely wood burner, with small tables covered in snacks and drinks to keep you happy. Facilities are also first class, including a wonderful infinity pool overlooking the tea plantations, a great spa (to ease those tired legs) and a lively restaurant serving the most delicious food. Feels like a boutique city hotel in the middle of the forest, but somehow works perfectly.
