Polar Holidays

Steppes was one of the first UK based Tour Operators to offer polar adventures. Since then we've built an impressive reputation based on our detailed first-hand knowledge and long standing partnerships.

In our quest to find more outlandish and pioneering holidays, a journey to the end of the world – north or south – is no longer just the provision of scientists and famous explorers. In fact over the last ten years, Antarctic and Arctic cruising has increased in popularity.

Our flagship Polar charters

Antarctica Cruise - Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula

Our Antarctic Cruise is exceptional value given the quality of the vessel, comprehensive itinerary and expertise onboard including Stephen Venables, Sue Flood and Wade Davis.

Arctic Spitsbergen Expedition Cruise

Travel on our 12 day high Arctic expedition deep inside the Arctic Circle only 600 miles from The North Pole. In the company of marine biologist Monty Halls and wildlife photographer Sue Flood.

Steppes works with smaller, expeditionary vessels where the emphasis is on activities ashore rather than cocktails on board. That’s not to say you will not be looked after once you have kayaked through Paradise Bay, photographed polar bears from a zodiac or followed in the footsteps of Shackleton across South Georgia.

Expect good food, plentiful wine and an endless supply of salty sea-dog stories at the end of your day – and what’s best of all is the feeling that you have earned it.

Antarctica Cruise - Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula

For anybody with a love of wildlife and wild places, an expedition voyage to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctic Peninsula is the ultimate experience.
