Pizza Making & Gladiators - Family Trip to Italy

7 days

from £1,295pp (excluding flights)

In just 2 ½ hours you can be enjoying the sunshine, dining out on wonderful food in an incredibly family friendly environment and be surrounded by a history that is fascinating and fun for both the little and the large children in your family.

  • Dress as a Roman Gladiator and learn the basic techniques of gladiatorial sword fighting.
  • Get your hands dirty rolling, sprinkling and baking before feasting on your creation - the perfect Pizza!
  • Eat ice-cream, learn to make ice cream and eat more ice-cream!
  • Uncover the real life stories of Pompeii, buried by a volcanic eruption some 2000 year ago.

A city break can often be met by a groan from younger members of the family but we have designed this holiday idea so the sightseeing is planned with the whole family in mind including a wonderful mix of ‘hands on’ and educational activities. Whilst in Rome the whole family can visit the Colosseum and learn the tricks and skills of the gladiators before learning to make authentic Italian pizza and delicious ice-cream.

Travel by train to the Amalfi coast and the pretty town of Sorrento. Here you can explore the medieval streets, search for seaside treasures in the sandy coves and visit the nearby sites of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.

"Kate was calm and bent over backwards to accommodate my jitters about going to Kashmir in the light of tighter FCO guidelines just a few days before our departure. She was absolutely correct in advising against what I thought we should do. Several times during the holiday we said that, 'Kate was dead right about that!'."

"We asked for a rather particular kind of Indian holiday. You delivered it in full. Highlights? Honestly, each day was a highlight in itself. "
