Amanpulo

Set on Pamalican Island, Amanpulo is surrounded by white sand beaches, blue seas and a coral reef which is only 300 metres from the shore. Reached by sea plane the island is encircled by the Sulu Sea.

Location

An hour from Manila by plane, Amanpulo lies on the private island of Pamalican, accessed by Aman guests only.

Facilities

Amanpulo comprises a handful of secluded casitas and villas set amongst beachfront vegetation, on a hillside or tucked between the tropical canopy. The five Hillside Casitas have uninterrupted sea views. There is also a golf cart belonging to each casita to ease travel around the resort. There is one main restaurant which serves all meals including a selection of Filipino and western cuisine. The Beach Club offers refreshment around the clock, or grab a stone baked pizza for lunch at the Windsurf Hut.

Activities

Amanpulo is also well-known for its variety of water sports. These include snorkelling, scuba diving, windsurfing, rowing, sailing, fishing, boat trips and beachcombing. There is seven kilometres of coral reef just 300 metres offshore, making this destination ideal for beginners or divers not wanting a long boat ride.

Why We like it

This is a pure island escape and a romantic hideaway – take private use of the floating bar or organise a wedding blessing on the beach at sunset.
