Sue Flood is a photographer, author and conservationist. Following a successful career as a BBC wildlife filmmaker where she worked on the award-winning series ‘The Blue Planet’, and Planet Earth, Sue decided to leave the BBC to concentrate on her photography.

Her work has been recognised with awards in the International Photography Awards, Travel Photographer of the Year, International Conservation Photographer of the Year, and International Garden Photographer of the Year.

Sue was also the recipient of a Royal Photographic Society Silver Medal and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, and also the North American Nature Photography Association.

Her recent book, Emperor – the Perfect Penguin, with a foreword by Sir Michael Palin, was awarded in the Best Nature Book category of the International Photography Awards.

Her photographic highlights include diving with humpback whales in the South Pacific, face-to-face encounters with leopard seals in the Antarctic, filming polar bears in the Arctic, and living with Nenets reindeer herders in Siberia. But above all, Sue is great fun to be with – while your photographic prowess will improve under her tuition, you are also guaranteed a fun and rewarding time in her company.
