Baavan

My Expertise

  • India Flag India

In a country like India, where the habitat of people and wildlife often overlap, organisations that promote co-existence are essential. Under the supervision of Dr Raghu Chundawat and his team, Baavan gives the interests of wildlife, forests and people an equal footing.

Based in Panna, at the Sarai at Toria lodge, this brilliant NGO works hard to create tiger-friendly communities by offering local villagers educational programmes and access to healthcare.

A stay at Sarai at Toria gives travellers an opportunity to meet with Dr Chundawat and his team to learn about their community projects and the wildlife surveys they conduct in Panna.
