Tufi Dive Resort is perched on the slopes of Mount Trafalgar, overlooking the stunning fjords and mountains of Tufi and Cape Nelson. Stay in one of the 28 traditionally decorated bungalows, most with a verandah overlooking the Coral Sea or Tufi fjord.
Alternatively, stay with a local family, eating with the villagers, exploring with local fisherman, experiencing a traditional way of life. Additional facilities at the resort include a small swimming pool and restaurant.

The main draw of a stay here is given in the name of the resort; diving and snorkelling. The waters, reefs and dive sites around the resort are some of the best in the world. A house reef is located metres from the resort or there are up to 30 excellent dive locations reached in just 15 minutes by boat. The waters are home to hundreds of colourful fish as well as turtle, manta ray, schools of tuna and mackerel plus sharks including some rare hammerheads.
Other water-based activities include fishing and kayaking, and the area is also home to a wealth of birdlife, colourful insects and some small mammals. Local villages also provide a fascinating insight into the culture of the region and feel a world away from everyday life at home.
The Kokoda trail is also 80 miles away; known as one of the most scenically spectacular and challenging treks in the world.
Reached via a one-hour internal flight from Port Moresby into Tufi which operates three times a week. The resort is a short drive from the airstrip.
