  • Explore the Delta by mokoro and motorboat; spot wildlife amidst this network of waterways
  • Stay at the award-winning Kanana and Shinde camps, known for their great wildlife and birdlife
  • Combine air, land and water for the ultimate Botswana wildlife experience

This exceptional trip goes to the heart of the action and gives a sensational perspective of the Okavango Delta by taking to the air in a private helicopter. From the air, the sheer scale of the floodplains is magnificent and areas inaccessible by land are fully exposed. With the option of taking the side doors off the helicopter, this trip is perfect for photographers wanting aerial shots or for lovers of wildlife and wild places wanting an exhilarating experience.

Our partners are a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) certified and pride themselves on adhering to a level of safety that exceeds the regulatory requirements. Flights are operated in the safest and most reliable helicopter in the world, the Bell Jet Ranger, and are fully equipped for bush operations. Highly qualified pilots ensure safety and comfort, whilst also knowing where to find the best of the Delta's wildlife.

Out of the air, opportunities to explore the delta are numerous. Game drives, bush walks and boat-based excursions are available at both camps, allowing for exploration by both land and water. The birdlife in this wetland environment is phenomenal, with Kanana Camp offering exclusive access to an impressive heronry. Larger game is also abundant across this fascinating landscape; track down hippos, crocodiles, lions, leopards, elephants and sitatunga antelopes. At night, nocturnal species make an appearance. Servals, genets, civets, porcupines, and – very occasionally – pangolins can all be spotted.

This journey offers a fabulous opportunity to explore one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Combine some of the best camps in the region with a fantastic helicopter safari experience, for a truly memorable journey packed with wildlife encounters.

Jackie Devereux, Travel Expert

"Every part of our trip was the highlight and it is not possible for us to point out just one thing, event or place."

"However, we received a magnificent surprise of a helicopter ride between camps in Botswana which meant a flight over the delta and an opportunity to see the delta and how it is formed. It was a wonderful surprise organised by Jackie and we were both absolutely overjoyed with the opportunity. I do not believe that there was more that could have been done as we had a magnificent trip."

"Jackie was excellent- she listened and was very knowledgeable."
