Bush House is a small eco-lodge located on the east coast of Madagascar within the Canal des Pangalanes lake district. Here, fresh water lakes merge with the Indian Ocean - two different marine worlds within walking distance of each other.
Accommodation is in simple bungalows with double beds, en suite bathrooms, and terraces, from which you can see and hear both the lake and the Indian Ocean. Shower water is heated over a flame in a small water tank behind each bungalow while electricity, powered by generator, is available between 6pm and 10pm.
There is a bar and a small outside restaurant, sheltered under palm roofing, and serving Malagasy, Creole and French food.
Access is by boat, helicopter or 4x4. Activities include: lemur-watching, exploring the natural botanical gardens, and walking.
