Mara Plains Camp

One of the most luxurious and intimate properties in the area, offering exceptional, first class service and great guiding whilst managing to retain and incredibly relaxed atmosphere thanks to its excellent team.

With only seven tents, this is one of the smallest camps in the area giving it a personal feel but also allowing for a huge degree of flexibility as there are no set times for meals or activities, with each of these tailored around your individual needs, from walks, game drives, village visits or night safaris. Each stylish marquee style tent is raised from the ground with a wraparound wooden deck overlooking the plains and the interiors are the perfect blend of contemporary fittings with a colonial style twist - plush rugs, blanket boxes and brass fittings with superb comfort. The main mess tent looks our across the privacy of the Olare Motogori Conservancy, which also gives access to the award winning Mara North and the Main Masai Mara reserve itself.

Why We Like It

Such is the quality of the camp, the intuitive and engaging guiding and the perfect blend of polished service and relaxed atmosphere that you will find it hard to leave. They even have professional quality cameras and lenses that are free to use, so you can look the part and with plenty of wildlife and epic landscapes, everyone comes back with great photos as well as memories.
