Lewa Safari Camp

Lewa Safari Camp is a charming and very homely safari camp, with an excellent reputation in the world-renowned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. The sense of space is the first thing that strikes you about the camp, with the spacious bar and dining room looking out across the manicured lawns and pool, with expansive views across Lewa Downs.

The tented rooms themselves sit under a permanent thatched roof, with private en-suite bathrooms at the back, with the main bedrooms designed to let in light and the landscape, so whilst small, feel very much part of the scenery offering panoramic views from inside. Unlike some of the other former homestead ranches in the area, Lewa Safari Camp is unstuffy and very relaxed allowing you to be as convivial or as private as you feel and the staff are as happy to sit and chat as they are to leave you in peace to enjoy the ambience of the place. The lodge has also been involved in the heart of the excellent Lewa Wildlife Conservancy success story, working hand in hand with the local communities, now famous for its pioneering rhino breeding programme.

Why We Like It

Lewa Safari Camp has a reputation gained due to its popularity with celebrities, conservationists and writers but remains incredibly relaxed and open, both in terms of the views and the welcome you receive. A beautiful lodge with a great atmosphere.
