Located on the shores of the Dead Sea, Movenpick Resort & Spa has been built in the style of a traditional Arabic village with the 346 guestrooms connected by walkways, stairwells and courtyards, planted with bougainvillea and plumbago.
From the main building, an artificial river runs through the valley gardens towards a central square where shops, a restaurant, pools and the spa converge on the shores of the Dead Sea. Each of the rooms has a balcony or terrace and the vast spa takes full advantage of its location in an area rich in year-round filtered sunshine, ozone-rich air, high barometric pressure and mineral-loaded sea waters.
why we like movenpick resort & spa dead sea
The village style of the Movenpick gives the hotel character and the established gardens create a lovely burst of greenery. A great option for those without the budget for the neighbouring Kempinski.

The main attraction is undoubtedly the Dead Sea and its healing properties. The hotel has a jetty with the bathing platform and showers adjacent to the rocky shore and beach from where it is possible to bathe in the water and apply some of the mineral-loaded mud.
If feeling a little more active, perhaps play volleyball on the beach or away from the hotel there is golf and hiking.
Movenpick Resort & Spa is located on the north-eastern shores of the Dead Sea and around 40 minutes’ drive from Amman airport.
