Amanwana, meaning peaceful forest is the only resort located on Moyo and is set on a beach in a secluded cove overlooking the Flores Sea. The protected marine park offers some of the best scuba diving and snorkelling in Indonesia, and Amanikan, the camp's 32-metre coastal cruiser takes guests to Rinca and Komodo islands.
Accommodation in 20 luxury tented suites, a jungle spa and a tented restaurant serving the local catch of the day, make Amanwana the ultimate wilderness hideaway.
Why we like it
Those places on the planet that are hardest to reach are often the most memorable travel experiences. Amanwara fits this bill. For the ultimate trip of a lifetime combine a five day stay at Amanwana, with a Komodo Expedition on board the Amanikan boat.
Spot parrot fish, spotted rays and sea turtles amongst the vibrant reefs, found just off the beach. Spend the day hiking to limestone pools or explore jungle caves. For a treat take a starlight cruise around Amanwana bay.
