The Chedi - Ubud

Hidden among the lush hills of Ubud, this most private of properties sits among thriving rice fields, just outside this thriving artistic centre. The former estate of one of Indonesia's most respected art collectors, the Chedi has been transformed into an intimate luxury retreat with twenty individual villas, each one uniquely featuring original Balinese artworks from the collection.

Why we like it

Unique in its design, the Chedi is one of the few hotels in the area which have original Balinese architecture and such close proximity to working rice paddies.

serenity and rejuvenation are both found in abundance at The Spa, nestled at one edge of the seemingly endless paddy fields. Witness breath-taking sunrises over Mount Agung, Bali’s highest and holiest mountain and venture into the buzzing town of Ubud, cycle nearby paths. For something different enjoy a floating breakfast in your private pool or sip a glass of champagne from the fixed hot air balloon above the property.

  • Relax in the huge Balinese spa
  • Relax by the peaceful pool
  • Dine amongst the paddy in the Restaurant
  • Relaxed lunch by the pool

Found just outside the town of Ubud, approximately an hour and a half from the airport in southern Bali.
