Reni Pani Jungle Lodge is a small but perfectly formed camp, situated in the buffer zone of Satpura National Park in Central India. Well located close to the park entrance, it offers twelve individual cottages in pristine acres of deciduous forest land.
Why we like Reni Pani Jungle Lodge
Reni Pani is a stunning example of a contemporary wildlife and conservation-focused jungle lodge. Dedicated naturalists accompany you on your daily game drives with only 12 jeeps permitted at any given time.
The lodge arranges various activities within the reserve including game viewing by jeep, jungle walks and elephant safaris. There is also an exciting night drive in the buffer area. For those with a little more time we recommend experiencing the overnight camp and extended walking programme which follows the Pachmari Trail – a two night, three day trek that follows the ascent taken by Captain James Forsyth from Pachmari.
There are 12 rustic cottages with spacious decks and wonderful forested views. Luxurious bathrooms, with outdoor showers makes the jungle experience very comfortable. Coming soon are a further four tents for the 2018 season. The camp also boasts a small swimming pool where you can relax and freshen up after a day in the jungle.
Churna Camp is for the adventurous. A separate forest rest house deep within the reserve it is simple but facilitates an overnight stay. Take a game drive through the reserve and reach the camp by sundown for dinner. There is a resident giant flying squirrel here.
Satpura Tiger Reserve offers some stunning topography. Deep gorges and ravines, beautiful nallahs, steep rocky hillocks and the rugged Satpura range of hills. Satpura Tiger Reserve is still relatively unexplored.
