Raas Boutique Hotel is a glorious little hotel lying at the foot of the mighty Meherangarh Fort in the heart of Jodhpur's Walled City. It is the only luxury hotel to be based in the old town and the views of the fort, which looms directly above you, are truly spectacular.
The hotel is situated in the prestigious north-eastern quarter of the Walled City, just a stone's throw from the Clock Tower.
The hotel is in four charmingly-restored buildings in characteristic local rose-red sandstone, alongside new buildings designed by an acclaimed architect. Not only is this a beautifully-preserved hotel, it is also eco-friendly.
Why we like The Raas Haveli
The rooftop hotel bar commands the best views in Jodhpur, alongside cutting edge service and exquisite al fresco dining.
The 28 Luxury rooms are in the newer wing of the hotel, each with garden or fort views. The ground floor Garden Rooms are suitable for those travelling with children, offering a small enclosed garden behind high walls. The rooms with the best views are the Duplex Suites which boast a private balcony. The three Heritage Suites are large and spacious and located in the old wing of the hotel. A vast infinity pool offers a relaxing place for some downtime in between sightseeing or shopping trips. The spa offers an extensive treatment menu and there is a choice of restaurants from Baradari for fine dining or the candlelit rooftop restaurant, Darikhana. We advise making a reservation for both dining options as they are popular.
- Experience ayurvedic treatments at the dedicated spa
- Sip cocktails beside the pool whilst gazing up at the 15th-century ramparts
- Walk to the nearby 17th-century stepwell to see the hand-carved dancing elephants
- Arrange an exclusive private dinner in the landscaped gardens with the fort as a backdrop
There is a range of eco measures in place at Raas including solar heating and rainwater harvesting.
Raas Haveli is located right in the heart of old town Jodhpur, close to the century-old clock tower, central markets and the foot of the Mehrangarh Fort. Raas is also close to a mosque which sounds it's call to prayer on a regular basis. Jodphur is well serviced by regular domestic flights or can be reached by car or train. The narrow winding streets of Jodphur are at times too small for larger vehicles and in this instance, you will be collected by tuk-tuk to navigate the final leg of the journey.
