Taj Mahua Kothi

Taj Mahua Kothi close to Bandhavgarh National Park is beautiful tented camp with impeccable service and expert naturalists.

Within a stone's throw from Bandhavgarh National Park, Mahua Kothi is accessed by car, a six hour drive from Khajuraho or a five hour drive from Jabalpur. Both towns have airports with daily connections from the major hub cities like Delhi or Mumbai.

The 12 charming suites or Kutiyas (jungle village huts) at Mahua Kothi are built in the 40-acre grounds of the renowned tented camp formerly known as Churhat Kothi. Each of the 12 suites is built in the vernacular style of Central India. They are accessed through private courtyards with shaded seating and traditional mud floors. Each en suite bathroom features twin hand basins, indoor shower, bath and separate toilet. Each kutiya features roll-down mats to keep out the early morning sun, as well as overhead fans and air conditioning. Kettles of boiling water on chulhas (charcoal burners) are brought out with early morning tea to the kutiyas. Bicycles, parked in the kutiya courtyards, are an invitation to explore.
