June to September are the warmest and driest months in the Basque region of Spain although with plenty of rain year-round the landscapes are always lush and green. During these months expect temperatures around the mid 20’s making it perfect for relaxing on the beach or doing some walking. Travel outside of July and August to avoid the holiday crowds.
The best time to visit Andalucia is between March and May and September and October. During these months the temperatures are mild, the rush of tourist traffic hasn’t reached summer volume and the hotels tend to offer lower rates. Experience Orthodox Easter, Semana Santa and Feria de Abril at this time of year. Summers in Andalucia are best avoided as the temperatures often exceed 35 degrees unless you head for the white-washed villages in the hills. The winter months experience rather high rainfall although the temperatures are generally still mild.
