This scenic park, once the Maharajas’ hunting reserve, is famed for its high tiger density alongside leopards, sloth bears and plentiful prey. On arrival, settle into your accommodation.

Days 2-6

Bandhavgarh National Park (Nature Heritage Resort)

Over five days, explore Bandhavgarh with Paul Goldstein and experienced naturalists, who will rotate between the small number of vehicles. Morning and evening drives, plus two exclusive full-day permits, maximise time in the park. With only three guests per vehicle, enjoy exceptional opportunities to track and photograph tigers alongside a wealth of other wildlife.

Day 7

Bandhavgarh to Tadoba (Tadoba Jungle Camp)

An early departure for the full-day drive to Tadoba, passing through rural villages and farmland, offering glimpses of everyday life in the Indian countryside. A highlight of the drive is crossing the Pench–Kanha Corridor, a vital wildlife passageway linking two major reserves and a reminder of the importance of connected landscapes for India’s tigers. After lunch en route, reach Tadoba Jungle Camp.

Days 8-10

Tadoba National Park (Tadoba Jungle Camp)

Three morning drives, two afternoon drives, plus one full-day safari in Tadoba. With small groups and Paul’s tuition, explore both Core and Buffer Zones. The rugged teak and bamboo forests here are home to one of India’s most thriving tiger populations.

Rise early for a final safari before breakfast. After a farewell lunch, transfer to Nagpur for your flight to Delhi, where your journey concludes.

Bandhavgarh

Bandhavgarh is more than just a tiger reserve. Its name comes from the ancient fort that crowns its cliffs, once a stronghold of the Maharajas of Rewa. Today, the park’s mixture of forest and meadow shelters one of the highest tiger densities in India, along with leopards, sloth bears and countless prey species. Exploring here means not only searching for wildlife but also experiencing a landscape shaped by centuries of history and culture. The combination of heritage and biodiversity gives Bandhavgarh a special, layered character.

Tadoba

Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve is one of India’s most dynamic landscapes. Rugged cliffs, teak forests, bamboo thickets and perennial lakes create a mosaic of habitats that sustain a remarkable variety of wildlife. Its thriving tiger population, estimated at up to 100, is complemented by wild dogs, leopards, marsh crocodiles and rich birdlife. Game drives here capture the raw energy of central India’s wilderness, especially when the golden light of dawn or dusk filters through the forest. Tadoba feels elemental and untamed, offering a different rhythm and atmosphere to Bandhavgarh.

Kanha track, Kanha National Park, India

The Pench–Kanha Corridor

Linking these two celebrated tiger reserves, the Pench–Kanha Corridor is a vital passageway that allows wildlife to move freely between protected areas. This mosaic of forest and grassland supports tigers, leopards, wild dogs and countless prey species. Its importance extends beyond the animals you might glimpse from the road: by connecting landscapes, the corridor helps maintain genetic diversity and safeguards the long-term future of India’s tiger populations. Conservation here is ongoing, balancing the needs of wildlife with those of the people who share the land. Visiting these reserves supports community livelihoods and conservation initiatives, making every journey part of a wider story of protection.
