Nestled amid the spectacular high Caucasus Mountains, Rooms Kazbegi is a former Soviet resort turned stunning design hotel offering a luxurious stay and distinctive hospitality. One of Georgia’s best hotels, the setting is magnificent, the service and food first-class and the facilities include a generous indoor swimming pool.
Why we like Rooms Hotel Kazbegi
The views from the hotel are unbelievable and the big indoor swimming pool is very welcome.
Comprising 155 guestrooms, each with breathtaking vistas, Rooms Hotel Kazbegi has a homely atmosphere with a unique, design edge. The combination of wood, glass and steel has been beautifully considered making each space a pleasure to be in. The sweeping sun terrace provides a place to soak in the rugged surroundings. Rooms Hotel Kazbegi has a wonderful indoor pool and sauna which is the perfect place to relax after sightseeing or hiking in the surrounding mountains. The bar is well-stocked with delicious Georgian wines amongst other drinks, and if you fancy a flutter, there is also a casino on site. The large main lounge area has a wide selection of books and a telescope for gazing at the nearby mountains.
With mountains on all sides including mighty Mt Kazbek (5,047 metres), there is endless scope for walking or mountain biking and the hotel offers many excellent guided options. Kazbegi’s star attraction, the Gergeti Trinity Church, with its majestic mountain backdrop, is a short drive or two and a half hours walk from the hotel. A short morning drive from the hotel to the Sno Valley makes for a fascinating half day excursion.
Kazbegi is located a short distance from the Russian border on the Georgian Military Highway and is approximately two hour’s drive north of Tbilisi. Hemmed in by big mountains, Kazbegi is reached by crossing the stunning 2,400 metres Jvari Pass and by driving through the popular ski resort of Gudauri.
