Galapagos Private Charters

Chartering a Galapagos boat

If looking for a really special holiday for a private group - go glamourous and charter your very own yacht for a week in the Galapagos. It may not always be as expensive as you think and will make for a very memorable holiday. We’ve selected the boats we think are best suited to being chartered by private groups of friends or families.

Why charter?

  • Family Occasion - If you’ve got a special occasion you’d like to mark with your family – bring them all along! Anyone from the age 5 to 85 will take something fantastic from this incredible destination.
  • Specialist Interest - You and your party may have a specialist interest which you don’t want to have to work around other people. We are able to provide specialist guides for you, be it photography, birds or something more obscure – and you won’t have to worry about any other clients getting bored with you or your specialist subject
  • Flexibility - Maybe your group don’t fancy a landing one afternoon and just want to be taken to a good snorkelling spot… Having your own guide and crew gives you this flexibility
  • Kids - You’ve got young children and want to have dinner at 6pm instead of 8pm? It’s no problem on a charter – the chef can accommodate your needs and cook all your favourite food
  • Noisy Friends – Maybe you have a rowdy bunch of friends who enjoy raucous all night parties . On the privacy of your own yacht you needn’t worry about anyone calling the police with noise complaints…

The best boats for chartering:

 Beagle (12 passengers)

  • The romanticism of having sails and bunks adds an air of the expeditionary and adventure to your trip. You can even get involved and help the crew with sailing.
  • With only space for 12, this is one of the best guide:client ratios in the Galapagos so you’ll get really personal attention.
  • Very high levels of service with an informal, barefoot atmosphere.

Ocean Spray (16 passengers)

  • Fresh, colourful and gorgeous – this is a beautiful boat. It’s got a sense of fun about it, and everyone will love the sundeck with its Jacuzzi and telescope.
  • Cabins are huge and can be twin or double – there’s even a single cabin.
  • Al fresco dining, and other little personal touches – it’s high end and proud of it.

Passion (12 passengers)

  • Completely refurbished in 2015, it used to be a private family yacht so is perfect for family gatherings
  • The guest to crew ratio is 1:1 so you’ll always have someone on hand
  • Huge cabins and loads of outdoor deck space mean everyone’s got lots of room to escape if needs be!

Stella Maris (12 passengers)

  • Used solely for chartering – they don’t do waifs and strays – so they really know how to operate for a private group
  • Elegant, tasteful and neutral decoration – a truly lovely, calming place to spend down time
  • There are toys on board, like stand up paddle boards and snorkel equipment. Surfing and diving can also be organised.

Nemo II (12 passengers)

  • A very small but perfectly formed sailing catamaran with seven double, en suite cabins
  • Colourful alfresco dining area and lounge, as well as plenty of deck space to lounge with a G&T
  • Fully dive equipped
