Zagreb and Northern Croatia

Zagreb embraces the modern with its thriving arts, music and food scene but also celebrates its rich past and has a history dating back to Roman times.

Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city, is a quintessential central European city with lovely parks, and pedestrian streets filled with outdoor cafes and charming shops.

Stay a day or two and walk the streets visiting the Gothic Cathedral and 13th century St. Mark’s Church, as well as the museums and numerous cafes. Further afield explore the picturesque Zagorje region. Zagorje is filled with Medieval and Renaissance fortresses and numerous Baroque castles all blending into a memorable, romantic landscape. Even further afield the north of Croatia is largely unexplored and – the perfect destination for the inquisitive traveller.
