The Great Ocean Road is a beautiful route that hugs the contours of the states rugged south coast, passing the Twelve Apostles. Further inland some of the richest pastoral lands in Australia provide the setting for regal old homesteads, giving the area a feel of the English countryside.

A range of National Parks offer fabulous bushwalking trails, great viewpoints and a multitude of wildlife and seasonal flowers. Unexpected aboriginal culture, wildlife from whales to penguins and koala plus world-class vineyards and of course the cosmopolitan, sporty and artistic city of Melbourne, all combine to make this region of Australia both exciting and surprising.

Melbourne

Victoria is home to Melbourne, Australia’s sporting capital. This bustling city is becoming a close competitor to Sydney, with its amazing architectural structures and beautiful coastal beaches. The beaches of Philip Island are home to the world-famous Penguin Parade, where Australia’s little penguins emerge from the sea at sunset and waddle to their burrows nestled in the sand dunes. A visit to this state is well combined with Tasmania, New South Wales or South Australia.

Amy was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful and with a good sense of humour. Our holiday would not have been as successful and enjoyable without her guidance and input.

Amy Waters

After my degree in Fine Art I didn’t really know what career I wanted or what path I would take. The only thing I knew is that having spent a summer in America it had given me the desire to explore and see as many places as possible before becoming a grown up and entering the real world.

Clare Higginson

It was my passion for languages that first encouraged me to leave the UK behind and grab my rucksack. Since then, it’s been a mixture of intriguing cultures, jaw-dropping landscapes and the wonder of seeing animals in their natural habitat that sees me continuously extending my travel wish list. I also seek adventure; exploring the deep blue or hiking a peak often winning favour. Although it’s my time horse herding in Mongolia that I regularly want to relive.
