Inland, situated on the edge of a small canyon, close to the Tenorio Volcano National Park, Rio Perdido stands out for its remote location and easy access to the little visited Palo Verde National Park; one of the best wildlife and bird watching locations in Costa Rica.
It also hosts the mother of all canopy adventures.
Despite the rather industrial design, the spacious 20 bungalows offer a tasteful and comfortable base for guests. Each bungalow has a terrace with a hammock and for those that can't quite leave the mod-cons behind, you will find Wi Fi, a TV and A/C.
The draw to Rio Perdido is the mega Canyon Adventure, taking canopy tours to another level. Hundreds of zip lines have been designed across the Rio Blanco Canyon to create adrenaline heaven. If you don't have a head for heights you will also find activities such as mountain biking and rafting.
Why We Like It
For its remote location, unspoilt environment and easy access to the little visited Palo Verde National Park; one of the best wildlife and bird watching locations in Costa Rica.
