Pacuare Lodge is a stunning jungle hideaway only accessible by white water raft or 4x4, followed by a river crossing. At night, rooms are lit by oil lamp and candles with only electricity found in the main lodge.
Accommodation includes river view and garden bungalows and suites that offer rustic but chic comfort. The Linda Vista suites are five huge, luxurious hillside bungalows with four-poster beds, living area and large decks with private pools. A two-storey main building houses the restaurant, a bar and hammocks. Dining is a gourmet experience and not at all compromised by the remote location. Pacuare Lodge has its own series of zip lines and can arrange a number of activities. However, the star activity is the rafting - you will raft through some outstanding scenery, stopping for picnic lunch on your departure from the lodge.
Why We Like It
Getting to Pacuare Lodge is an exhilarating adventure in itself. Guests can choose to arrive by a combination of 4x4 and trekking through rugged rainforest terrain or by rafting along a stretch of world-class white water rapids. We also love the food and how the whole property twinkles at night with all rooms glowing from the oil lamps and candles!
