Tailor-Made Holiday

Classic Mekong - Pandaw River Cruises

11 days

from £1,995pp (excluding flights)

To float down the Mekong is to witness a fascinating and varied tapestry of river life. Gentle days of colourful and cultural contrast from the vibrant Vietnam delta to the tranquillity of Cambodia.

  • A fascinating cruise of one of Asia’s great waterways, visiting colourful local markets, floating villages and remote villages.
  • Explore rural Vietnam and Cambodia, two inextricably linked yet diverse cultures
  • Cruises range from three, four and seven night durations

The RV Mekong Pandaw takes its name from the river it travels. Sailing between Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in Vietnam and Siem Reap in Cambodia since the ship's launch in 2003, Pandaw River Cruises was the first modern river tourism company to sail the route. Pandaw has since put three more ships on the Mekong, offering three-, four- and seven-night sailings on a route that takes in Phnom Penh and the temples and monuments of Angkor on its way through Cambodia.

On the seven night Classic Mekong upstream cruise depart from the vibrant French colonial port of Ho Chi Minh, through the vast delta, through the heart of Vietnam and Cambodia between the lush Mekong Delta and the extraordinary Khmer ruins of Angkor via the capital city of Phnom Penh.

Travelling at a leisurely pace by river, accessing little visited areas with the added benefit of not constantly packing and unpacking is the ideal way to travel and connect these two countries. The rhythm of the cruise is quickly established with fascinating daily land-based guided excursions balanced by ample time on board, relaxing and observing traditional Mekong River life.

Our carefully chosen selection of small Mekong River cruises provide a very comfortable base, backed up by impeccable staff.
