Barranco Alto

Fazenda Barranco Alto is a located in the southern Pantanal, best reached by a 45 minute flight by small plane. The fazenda is a traditional cattle ranch, one of the oldest in the area, with four air conditioned, comfortable rooms with private terraces.

The area has unique ecosystems of waterways, vast floodplains, lagoons, ponds, shady forest and rich savannah grasslands. Explore the plains either on foot, open-vehicle, canoe or on horseback. Other activities include bird watching, fishing, star gazing and cattle mustering.

Wildlife that can found in this area include black howler monkey, Capuchin monkey, Ocelot, Giant Otter, armadillo, many types of deer, capybara, macaws and if you are lucky Jaguar and Puma.
