Why we like Solaris

This is a 100% solo traveller friendly vessel and one of only two such boats operating in the archipelago that does not implement a single supplement fee. With five single main deck cabins, as well as triple occupancy cabins, the yacht is a versatile and welcoming option for couples, families and independent travellers alike. This unique feature should not be underestimated and allows for solo travellers to socialise with like-minded individuals, while still relishing in the solitude that the archipelago invites.

Activities

Accompanied by expert naturalist guides, travel around the archipelago visiting a plethora of visitor sites and disembarking to take leisurely walks on the islands. The flora and fauna of the Galapagos more than lives up to its renowned reputation – in a place where humans are not seen as a threat, come face to face with playful sea lions, snoozing iguanas, curious penguins and lumbering tortoises.

The snorkelling here is utterly unique, not least for the sheer quantity of marine life population, and presents opportunities to interact with sea lions in their natural habitat, gaze as sharks congregate under rocks, float above golden rays and swim amongst vast arrays of brightly-coloured fish.

Beginners can join the snorkelling excursions as no previous experience is required, although we recommend that you try the activity in a local swimming pool to familiarise yourself with the breathing technique.

Location

You will find the Solaris Motor Yacht plotting a course around the Galapagos Islands in the eastern Pacific Ocean, off the west coast of Ecuador. The vessel departs from either Santa Cruz Island or San Cristobal Island, which are reachable from Quito or Guayaquil airports on the mainland of Ecuador.
