Pandaw ships are full of colonial character and history and the shallow drafts of many of the boats allow travel to remote areas, unreachable overland.
Interiors are finished in brass and teak and there is a strong focus on outdoor space with wide promenades and observation decks to enjoy. The style of the boats as well as cabin size is consistent throughout the fleet with many cabins offering sliding French doors and boat sizes ranges from an intimate five cabins up to 24. All Pandaw boats have bikes on board for guests use and a few have additional facilities such as a gym and massage room.
We love the charm and character of Pandaw boats. Solo travellers can often profit from some excellent savings and their ships also work well for families.
As well as daily excursions with the friendly and knowledgeable guides there are also a range of onboard activities on offer to passengers. Take in cultural performances, watch a cooking demonstration or head ashore to explore by bike. Fishing rods are also kept onboard or for families there is badminton equipment and footballs with family friendly activities scheduled during school holidays.
Pandaw has their own charity, established in 2008 and have since helped build twelve schools and operate seven medical clinics providing around 5,000 free treatments a month to local people who could otherwise not afford it. All of this is entirely sponsored by profit share from Pandaw and passenger donations.
Board a Pandaw boat to cruise the Mekong River through Vietnam and Cambodia, or on the upper Mekong through Laos, China and Thailand. In Myanmar, in addition to cruising the Irrawaddy River you can also cruise the Chindwin River as well as the Mergui Archipelago on a coastal cruise.

Your expertise helped us with our choices of activity, and we were often pleasantly surprised by some of the things arranged - the boat building at Inle was fascinating, we loved eating in the Burmese houses and thought that a real highlight and adored the ballooning in Bagan.
