Impossible, I’m Possible

You may or may not have made a few New Year Resolutions this year. I have made one: to be more positive. Too often resolutions are based on what is wrong with our lives as opposed to what is right. They are based on fear – giving something up – and hence often fail. Negativity and fear are not sustainable motivators. Joy and pleasure are sustainable. Love is more powerful than fear.

Positive words may sometimes seem inconsequential, but they can have incredible power. Our words matter and by embracing positivity, our words can have an impact that goes beyond their utterance and has a far-reaching effect. As Mother Teresa said: “Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.”
Travel has shown me that words spoken with true positivity easily transcend and overcome language barriers – a smile when speaking goes a long way, and it is a joy how we can converse in a far-flung corner of the world with someone who we have just met with surprising clarity and understanding.

I intend to embrace 2018 by spending more time with my family and travelling with them and sharing these experiences. I hope whatever you do you will look forward to a year of possibilities… theopportunityisnowhere. I hope that as opposed to nowhereyou see that it is now here?

Thanks for reading
