The 30 metre long Searcher was built in 1970 in the USA as a sports-fishing vessel. She has been operating in the Baja Peninsular region for 30 years and is one of very few boats to have permits to enter some of the marine parks and lagoons.
Although facilities are a little more basic than on some larger ships, she offers excellent wildlife viewing itineraries. Being a small ship, the ambient noise of engines and generators can often be heard. Be warned, the 14 bunk cabins are very small, have limited storage space and are not ensuite. There are four toilets on the main deck, two with showers. With three aluminium skiffs aboard for shore excursions and wildlife viewing, these small group cruises ensures unparalleled opportunities for observing wildlife.
