Tailor-Made Holiday

Perth & The Ningaloo Reef

Swim with Whale Sharks & Humpback whales

8 days

from £2,995pp (excluding flights)

Spend time exploring the laid-back city of Perth before heading north to the Ningaloo Reef, home to pristine beaches and a magical underwater world.

  • Explore the parklands, beaches, nearby vineyards & wealth of bars and restaurants in Perth
  • The chance to swim with some of the ocean's giants – manta rays, whale sharks & humpback whales
  • Dive amidst fantastic coral formations with over 500 species of fish
  • Go kayaking, fishing, walking or just relax and read a book at Sal Salis Wilderness Lodge

Australia’s west coast is less developed than the more famous east coast and as such is far less visited, however, if it is idyllic beaches, colourful reefs and world-class diving you are looking for, it is seriously worth the journey.

perth

Spend a few days in the city of Perth. Following a recent mining boom in the area, Perth and the surrounding areas are enjoying investment and restoration leading to the tagline ‘the re-birth of Perth’. Elizabeth Quay has re-connected the city from the Swan River to the harbour and is home to gourmet restaurants, boutique hotels and a buzzing atmosphere akin to that of Sydney Harbour. The city is also home to some wonderful parks and gardens, nearby islands, lovely beaches and a thriving wine industry to the south of the city.

Sal Salis & the Ningaloo Reef

Fly north to the town of Exmouth and get truly off the grid for 4 nights at the wonderful Sal Salis tented camp. Nestled amongst sand dunes and with the coral reef literally on your doorstep, this slice of paradise offers a blissful escape from the outside world! A range of activities are included during your stay here as well as optional additional experiences such as swimming with whale sharks or humpback whales. As well as the underwater world, just metres from your accommodation, the Cape Range National Park is also on your doorstep and is home to some of Australia's iconic residents including the red kangaroo plus a whole host of wonderful birdlife.

Whale Sharks & Humpback Whales

These magnificent creatures migrate along this coastline every year so if you wish to come face to face with them ensure you time your trip accordingly. Whale sharks frequent the waters from April to July and the humpback whales from August to October.

Margaret River or the Northern Territories

For a longer holiday, this trip would combine really nicely with some time exploring Margaret River, to the south of Perth, although this combination would only really work if travelling in October when the weather in this area becomes nicer. Alternatively, the Northern Territories works perfectly from June to September for wildlife, waterfalls and Aboriginal culture.
