13 days

from £2,495pp (excluding flights)

Visit two of the most impressive landscapes in South America, the Atacama desert in Chile and the Salar de Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia.

Travel over the high Altiplano of the Andes into Bolivia on one of the greatest journeys in South America. Travel beside the immense Licancabur volcano, pass geysers and clear blue, emerald and maroon coloured salt lakes dotted with flamingos. The windswept landscape of the Siloli Desert with its bizarre rock formations, reminiscent of a Salvador Dali painting, before reaching the Salar de Uyuni. The largest salt flats on earth, an eerie expanse of white salty desert stretching as far as the eye can see.

End the trip in the capital city of Santiago with its impressive mountainous back drop of the Andes. Spend time exploring the city, take a day trip out to one of the many world class wineries or visit the historic port of Valpariso.

Sitting at 2,400 metres above sea level, San Pedro de Atacama is a charming oasis town in the heart of the Atacama Desert.
