An elegant country house, built in the 1830s and set in beautiful grounds of sycamores, elms and pine trees, this traditional working estancia is located south of Buenos Aires, on the Pampas.
The estancia has six rooms in its main house, each connected by a glassed hallway, while the house itself has colonial style architecture with thick walls, high ceilings, beautiful wrought iron railings and wooden floors. The food at La Bandada gets many plaudits and weather permitting is served alfresco in the shade of tall pine trees.
Other facilities include, a swimming pool, a summer house where you can pre-book a massage, and a covered terrace with easy chairs leading onto the lawns. Activities include horse riding, chariot rides, bird watching, croquet, and visits to the traditional farm. Please note there is no air conditioning and they do not accept credit cards.
