Frequently voted one of the top 25 hotels in the world in numerous travel awards and a member of 'Leading Hotels of the World', the privately owned Carlisle Bay is nestled in a secluded white sand bay on Antigua's south coast with a backdrop of pristine, rainforest covered hills.
Typically Caribbean in style with plantation shutters and hammocks in the trees this hotel is tranquil, contemporary and sophisticated.
The 87 spacious, contemporary guest suites all have floor to ceiling windows enabling uninterrupted views of the ocean and are located either on the beach or lawns. Balconies and terraces all have a day bed, whilst the rooms include ceiling fans and air-conditioning, docking station, DVD and CD player, an Expresso machine, fully stocked bar as well as the usual amenities you would expect to find in a luxury property.
The four Carlisle Suites each feature 3 en-suite bedrooms, a large sitting room and private beachfront balconies or terrace making them ideal for families or groups of friends.
Depending on your fancy, there are 4 restaurants to choose from, all serving locally sourced ingredients. Indigo On The Beach is a casual open-sided restaurant leaning towards grilled seafoods, salads and pastas. East offers some of the island's finest Asian cuisine, while Ottimo is the place to go for an Italian inspired meal. The Jetty Grill is the hotel's adult only restaurant down at the beach.
Why we like it
You will want for nothing at Carlisle Bay and the facilities for families are excellent. However, it is their attention to detail that really stands out.

- Motorised sports are available in the neighbouring cove
- Kids club that takes babies from six months of age to children up to twelve years old.
- Movie nights
- Four restaurants including the Jetty Grill offering adult only dining
