North Face Lodge is a north-country inn, set amongst native tundra, overlooking the Alaska Range, in the heart of Denali National Park. The Lodge has a great location close to Wonder Lake, an excellent spot for canoeing.

It is a comfortable property with a small collection of rooms and a cosy main lodge where you can relax and learn more about the history of this wild landscape.

As one of the pioneers to the park, there are specialised activities and guiding options available including searching for wolves, moose, bears and caribou. In addition to guided activities, mountain bikes, canoes and fishing equipment are also available.

One of the first wilderness lodges in Alaska and the first in the Denali National Park, Camp Denali is the most iconic lodging in the park and the only that offers views of Mount McKinley. Lodgings are rustic but comfortable, with hand-sewn quilts made by staff, wood stoves and private outhouses. The simple log cabins are set along a ridgeline, all offering fantastic views of the surrounding scenery. All aspects are built with sustainability in mind to ensure a low impact on the landscape. Basic necessities form part of the charm of this historic lodging.

Tonglen Lake Lodge £££££

A short distance from the pristine wilderness of the Denali National Park, Tonglen Lake Lodge is a boutique property well positioned to explore the area. The main lodge on the edge of a private lake and surrounded by forest has fantastic views of the Alaska Range. A cluster of bush style timber cabins are tucked away within the woodland. Each is furnished traditionally with handcrafted furniture, log burners and large timber beds. The lodge is inspired by the Alaskan landscape and the community of this region. Owner Donna Gates is an established artist with the artisan cafe at the lodge displaying a collection of her work along with other local artists.
