Ylang Ylang Beach Resort is located on a stunning stretch of coast at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula and just a short walk along the beach from the small seafront town of Montezuma.
Flanked by rainforest and a white sandy beach, the 20 rustic guestrooms are simple but charming. Choose between a dome-shaped bungalow nestled in the jungle, a family beach suite or even a tented cabin.
Rooms overlook either the jungle or beach, some have balconies and all have either a ceiling fan or air conditioning. Snooze in a hammock on the beach, search for sloths in the nature reserve, surf the pacific waves or take a spa treatment to the sound of the ocean.
Ylang Ylang is a laid back and low-key choice of beach accommodation, beautifully located with excellent service in a relatively undeveloped corner of Costa Rica.
A wide range of land and sea-based tours and activities can be booked with reception. These include zip lining, hiking, deep-sea fishing, birdwatching, horse-riding and kayaking. Just a 20-minute walk along trails leads to Long Beach, a great spot for boogie boarding and surfing. Also, well worth a visit is Tortuga Island for some excellent snorkelling and diving over sunken boats and volcanic pinnacles.
Located on the west coast of Costa Rica on the Nicoya Peninsula and reached via a 25-minute flight from San Jose into Tambor. A short drive to the town of Montezuma and a further 15 minutes along the beach leads to Ylang Ylang.
