Winterlake Lodge is an exclusive wilderness lodge near the western edge of the Alaska Range. This remote lodge is off the road network so reached by seaplane. On a clear day the mountain peaks, glaciers and lush flora that surround are all visible.

With such spectacular scenery, Winterlake Lodge baits the curious traveller to don the hiking boots and explore. Endless adventures are in easy reach by helicopter, glacier trekking, hiking or salmon fishing. Closer to the lodge, go kayaking or canoeing, have a swim in the lake, take a yoga class or sit by the log fire and just be.

The main lodge sits in the middle of the property surrounded by a cluster of rustic log cabins all overlooking Finger Lake. This is the scene that welcomes the historic Iditarod dog sledging race each year.

This small rustic lodge, with just three traditional timber cabins, is cosy and simple in design. The emphasis is on the wildlife viewing and the surrounding lakes. Activities include watching bears come to the waters to fish for salmon, kayaking around the lakes, fishing or hiking in the Redoubt Bay Critical Habitat Area.
