The Convento do Carmo is a beautifully restored 16th-century convent situated at the top of a steep cobblestone street in the historic Pelourinho district of Salvador. There are 79 rooms and suites all situated in the building’s original sleeping quarters. Each room exposes elements of colonial architecture, including ancient beams and rafters, coupled with period-style furnishings to retain the original character and grandeur of the historic building.
