The Wallawa offers 18 stylishly furnished and spacious rooms, including two family suites and a luxurious two-bedroom suite with pool. Each room has beautiful garden views, lavish furnishings and modern amenities. The restaurant serves exquisite a la carte Asian Fusion cuisine throughout the day to tables overlooking the 200-year-old tropical gardens. The menus use the finest local ingredients, and many of the fruits, vegetables and herbs used are plucked daily from their extensive kitchen garden. The Z Spa offers a range of treatments and is designed specifically to aid in pre- and post-flight rest and relaxation. The spa has no set opening hours.

Activities

The Wallawwa’s quiet rural location is the perfect place to rest and recuperate for a few nights before or after your flight. It is tempting not to go anywhere but just relax and enjoy the gorgeous garden and pool. If you want to explore the local area Negombo is a good starting point, and the town’s Catholic churches, Dutch fort and lively fish markets. Negombo’s vast mangrove-fringed lagoon and network of old Dutch canals can be explored by boat or aboard a kayak.

Sightseeing tours into Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo can easily be arranged as well as visits to a world-renowned cigar factory, an ancient Buddhist temple and day trips to a tea factory and an elephant sanctuary.
