The former residence of the royal family of Hyderabad, The Falaknuma Palace has been leased to the Taj Group of Hotels and refurbished into a truly remarkable palace hotel.

Facilities

This five-star hotel is opulent, luxurious and excessive in equal measure and beautifully refurbished. The 60 rooms and suites provide marvellous views of the palace courtyard and the 400-hundred-year-old city of Hyderabad. There is an Indian fine-dining restaurant and a multi-cuisine restaurant. Breakfast and afternoon tea can be taken on the Jade Terrace or private dinners at the Gol Bungalow with spectacular views. The Jiva Spa provides an excellent menu of treatments for you to try or spend time wandering through the vast grounds and relax by the outdoor pool.

Activities

During your stay at the Taj Falaknuma Palace Hotel, an excursion into the city is a must. Hyderabad is a major centre for the technology industry and home to many upscale restaurants and shops. Its a wonderful mix of very modern and very old. Its historic sites include Golconda Fort, a former diamond-trading centre that was once the Qutb Shahi dynastic capital. The Charminar, a 16th-century mosque whose 4 arches support towering minarets, is an old city landmark near the long-standing Laad Bazaar.
