Owned by the royal family of Jaipur, Sujan Rajmahal Palace is one of the city’s oldest palaces. It was built in the 1720s for the Maharaja. The Rajmahal Palace was the official residence of the British Resident Political Offer, until the independence of India in 1947. The Residency, as it was then designated, became the centre of political activity through this period. The royal resident, now renewed, is the most amazing boutique hotel in Jaipur. 

With two restaurants, a pool and a spa, and a large helping of vigorous flair, the Rajmahal Palace’s decor is as bright as its history. A heritage hotel in India that is not traditional, but entirely contemporary, transporting all guests that stay to a new era of 21st century regal living.

Being only 20 suites, this hotel is much smaller than the larger palaces and offer world-class hospitality.

Facilities and Activities

The Palace has rooms and suites, all opulent in bold and regal colours. The Palace Rooms have large ensuite bathrooms and dressing rooms. The Palace Suites have an additional sitting area and dressing room.

Fresh from their organic gardens ingredients are used to create a taste of mini Italy, with brilliant burrata pizzas and sliders. For special occasions book a table in the Pink dining room, by evening lit by pretty candles, to create a truly memorable experience.

Laze by the art deco swimming pool, take in a polo match in the Royal box or head out on a cultural tour at first light. Whatever you feel like doing, the concierge here will go out of their way to make it unforgettable.
